In prose, every idea is enmeshed with its neighbors.

Sentences lean on the sentences around them. One thought cannot stand alone: it justifies what came before and sets up what follows, so expanding an idea means rewriting big chunks, again and again.

The plan has three parts, and each depends on the last. This is the one idea you want to grow. But it justifies the sentence before it, and the next one answers it, so nothing comes out clean.

Ponder lets ideas live on a two-dimensional map.

Each thought becomes its own compartment: a node you can grab, move, connect, and edit on its own. Position, color, and arrangement carry the rich meaning that prose flattens away.
